This interactive seminar will be of interest to educators and researchers in all disciplines of higher education.
The Connected Curriculum (Fung 2017) is a framework for whole of program design that links learning with research and practice, and between subjects and students. It allows us to frame questions around where and how students engage in collaborative interaction with others as well as the object of study. In this seminar participants will learn about the various dimensions of the framework and then apply these to their program to assess the overall program experience for students.
Anne Gardner is Head of School in the School of Professional Practice and Leadership in the Faculty of Engineering & IT at University of Technology Sydney. She is an Australian Learning & Teaching Fellow, Deputy Editor of Australasian Journal of Engineering Education, and Vice-president of the Australasian Association for Engineering Education. Anne has research experience in blended and collaborative learning, self and peer assessment, academic identity development and professional practice in the context of engineering. She is also mindful of the need to encourage the translation of educational research into academic practice.
